Geneva, NY – March 8, 2021 — The Finger Lakes Wine Alliance, premier marketing association for wines in the region, proudly announces the second annual Finger Lakes Virtual Riesling Camp. The four-part series will take place each Wednesday in April, with a kick-off virtual Happy Hour on Tuesday April 6, where campers and wineries will participate in a meet-and-greet via Zoom while enjoying a glass of delicious and refreshing Finger Lakes Riesling.

The Riesling “Camper” roster for 2021 includes a diverse collection of 26 media and trade representatives from coast to coast across the United States. Restaurant and retail store buyers, sommeliers, independent wine consultants and high-level wine journalists will come together to learn about the history of wine and Riesling in the Finger Lakes, the versatility of Riesling, sustainable viticultural practices in the Finger Lakes, and more. A full list of participants can be found here https://www.fingerlakeswinealliance.com/trade/finger-lakes-riesling-camp-2021/.

“As the industry and the world evolve amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, we are thrilled to be able to continue offering Riesling Camp,” says Kyle Pallischeck, Executive Director of the FLWA. “We learned a lot about virtual events in 2020. With this format, we have a significantly greater reach allowing us to engage with a broader spectrum of wine professionals,” she says. “Creating ambassadors for the region and its wines was what Riesling Camp was designed to do. The Finger Lakes wineries are able to showcase the camaraderie the region is recognized for and present Rieslings to those that may not have been able to attend in-person events in previous years.”

The thirteen Finger Lakes Wine Alliance members hosting Riesling Camp include Anthony Road Wine Company, Buttonwood Grove Winery, Boundary Breaks Vineyard, Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery, Fox Run Vineyards, Glenora Wine Cellars, Lakewood Vineyards, Lamoreaux Landing Wine Cellars, Red Newt Cellars, Sheldrake Point Winery, Silver Thread Vineyard, Wagner Vineyards, and Weis Vineyards.
