FLWA ANNOUNCES FIRST EVER FLX “RIESLING CAMP” THIS APRIL 3-5
The Finger Lakes Wine Alliance (FLWA) is proud to announce our new program “Finger Lakes Riesling Immersion Camp” (aka Riesling Camp) taking place this April 3-5 at a variety of member locations throughout the Finger Lakes. This innovative program will bring eight wine influencers up from NYC for a three day, hands-on intensive experience all about Riesling. Campers will participate in vineyard and winery tours, blending trials, and educational sessions on topics related to Riesling production, including single vineyard Rieslings, Riesling clones and Riesling ferments.
Ten members of the Finger Lakes Wine Alliance are participating in the Riesling Camp: Boundary Breaks Vineyard, Chateau Lafayette Reneau, Dr. Konstantin Frank Wine Cellars, Fox Run Vineyards, Glenora Wine Cellars, Heron Hill Winery, Lakewood Vineyards, Red Newt Wine Cellars, Swedish Hill Winery, and Wagner Vineyards.
“We are thrilled for the opportunity to showcase the magic of Finger Lakes Riesling and the warmth and collaborative spirit of our member wineries and supporting area businesses. The program is designed to create Finger Lakes Ambassadors in the NYC metro area and beyond.” stated Julie Caplan, Program Director of the FLWA.
The mission of the FLWA is to increase the visibility and reputation of Finger Lakes AVA, its wines and wineries as North America’s premier cool-climate wine region.
